Halloween fun has begun!

Hey guys!

Started working on some Halloween invitations. I got one set of eight complete. I also got 3/4 of another set done. Just have to cut a background and glue down the picture to the fronts of the cards. Then I have one other set I print, cut and design still.

They should be fun and I here is a sneak peek of the pictures on the fronts of the two I have already been working on.

Come on over for a harrowing
Fright that we are brewing for
Halloween night.
There will be food, games
and witches brew
Now all we need is you!

Halloween is spooky and also kooky
With black cats, ghosts and goblins
too.
Now all we need is you!

Please help us to celebrate
Halloween!

Better late than never!

Hey everyone!

I have not been able to update in a few weeks. I was really busy taking photos and posting some new items to the Etsy store. Then a week ago today, I woke up at 3 am wicked sick and had to go to the emergency room. I had a bad cold for several days and it lead to fluid building up in my ears and caused me to have vertigo! It was not fun at all and I would never wish it on my worst enemy. So I was pretty much out of commishion until Thursday. The medication that stops the dizzyness makes you really sleepy, so I pretty much slept all week and got no work done.

Anyway... I am going to write the post I wanted to last week now....

Here are a few of the new items I have made recently and are now in the store.

I had alot of fun making these trading card bookmarks. Super simple to make but the fun part was picking out the combinations of cards to use.

The Addams Family:

Tales From the Crypt #1:

Tales From the Crypt #2:

Webkinz:

All I did to make them was: line up two cards inside a sheet laminate paper and then run it through the laminator. Then let it cool off and cute around it, just leaving a little bit around the edges so it won't peel apart.

Also here is another set of items I made: Price Tags!

1 3/4 inch tages with orange strings. Set of 25 tags.

1 1/2 inch white tags with white strings. Set of 25 tags.

2 inch tags with multi colored strings. Set of 25 tags - 5 tags each in yellow, black, blue, red and purple strings.

Updates!

Hi everyone!

So I have not posted any new posts since last August. Things were crazy with my husband having heart surgery at the end of last year and then my husband and I opened a new etsy store called "Kickin it Old Skool" that has all vintage items in it.... you can check it out here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/kickinitoldskool?ref=si_shop

Anyway, I just gave the my blog a face lit with a new background and layout. I am also going to try to update my blog more often. So please check back often for updates. Also if you "like" Owl Occasions on Facebook then you can see when I add a new blog post because I will put a link to it on there.

Also I am in the process of fixing up my craft room/office that I share with my husband. I added some new storage and rearranged it a bit. Just waiting to get a new tall bookcase and a few other things - then I will add some pictures.

Check out my store to see the new items I have made since the last update I had made back last year.

Happy Halloween??

That's right!!! I started making items for Halloween.

You may think it's a little early to start thinking about Halloween, but I want to make sure that I get everything I'm making done in time to add to the Etsy store and that the items can be ready to be delivered in time for Halloween.

So far I have designed two invitations and I also have made one greeting card. I also have been planning all the other items I will be making.

Here is a sneak peek at the two invitations!

This is the first one:
